EVERETT — Authorities detained a student who threw rocks at a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy Monday afternoon at Mariner High School, police said.
The incident led to a “large” police response around 1 p.m., and the student was “safely detained,” sheriff’s spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said.
Police believe it was a behavioral health incident.
The school continued normal operations, according to the sheriff’s office.
