1 dead in Lake Stevens apartment shooting; man arrested

LAKE STEVENS — Police arrested a man suspected of shooting and killing another man in a Lake Stevens apartment early Sunday morning.

Around 3:35 a.m., officers responded to the 12700 block of 16th Street NE to reports of a man who had been shot in an apartment, police said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Lake Stevens police. Detectives interviewed two people at the scene.

After investigating, detectives arrested a man, 22, for investigation of second-degree murder. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

Police did not release any other details Sunday.
