Reel World Film Series: First Presbyterian offers a series on “Film Noir — Shadows across the cityscape.” The next film is a 1947 flick, “Out of the Past,” with Robert Mitchum, Kirk Douglas and Jane Greer. Movie starts at 7 p.m. Aug. 12 at the church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
Everett Meaningful Movies: “He Named Me Malala” will be shown at 7 p.m. Aug. 13, Sanctuary Covenant Church, 4502 Rucker Ave., Everett. After the Taliban tries to kill her for speaking out on behalf of girls’ education, Pakistani teenager Malala Yousafzai emerges as a leading advocate for children’s rights and the youngest-ever Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. Doors open at 6:30 for refreshments.
Downtown Everett Association outdoor series: Movie starts at sunset at Snohomish County Campus, 3000 Rockefeller Ave. Free. Aug. 13: “Jurassic Park” (PG-13)
Everett’s Cinema Under the Stars: Friday evenings at Sullivan Park at Silver Lake, Camp Patterson field, 11405 Silver Lake Road, Everett. Entertainment starts at 7:30 p.m. Movies begin at dark. Free.

Twisted Flicks: The Historic Everett Theatre hosts the region’s only live movie re-dubbing show, which merges improv comedy and old B movies. The Twisted Flicks guys from Jet City Improv will riff on “See APE” at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at the theater, 2911 Colby Ave. Call 425-258-6766.
