Is there a T-shirt?

Is This Love? A marine biologist and fan of Bob Marley has honored the late Jamaican reggae star by naming a newly discovered species after him. The Arkansas State University scientist named the creature “Gnathia marleyi.” It’s a tiny blood-sucking parasite that infests fish on Caribbean coral reefs.

We would say Marley is probably rolling in his grave, but he’s been rolling his own long before this happened.

This is the guy you name a parasite after: A Tacoma man has pleaded not guilty to insurance fraud after he was charged with filing a $20,000 claim for a dead cat that prosecutors allege he never owned. The man had been involved in a minor traffic accident and received $3,500 for chiropractic care, but two years later claimed the accident had also killed his cat, submitting photos that were later found on the Internet. He faces a year in jail if convicted.

It’s not a total loss; the insurance company said it could get him a deal on pet insurance.

Don’t know much about history: On this day in 1812, Gen. William Hull led U.S. forces into Canada during the War of 1812.

But Hull soon retreated to Detroit once he had laid in a supply of 222 aspirin and Tim Bits.
