Reel World Film Series: First Presbyterian offers “Film Noir — Shadows across the cityscape.” The next film is “The Big Sleep,” a 1946 flick adapted from a Raymond Chandler novel. Movie starts at 7 p.m. July 29 at the church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.
“The Boys of ‘36”: The North Cascades Crew is hosting a showing of the new PBS American Experience film at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 2 on the top floor of 2008 123rd Ave. NE, Lake Stevens. The evening features a discussion with a source for the Daniel James Brown book “The Boys in the Boat” Judy Rantz Willman, the daughter of Joe Rantz, who was one of the rowing crew.
