A press conference has been set for 11 a.m. Tuesday in Tacoma to announce a lawsuit in the death of Grace Tam, a Marysville girl killed by falling ice at the Big Four Ice Caves in July 2010.

The family said it heeded warning signs and stayed off the ice at the popular hiking destination in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest east of Granite Falls.

A boulder-sized chunk of ice broke off and hit her.

The lawsuit is being handled by the Tacoma law firm of Messina Bulzomi Christensen.
