MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — The Thunderbirds won the Wesco 3A match by scores of 25-21, 25-11, 22-25 and 25-16. Carolyn Stransky had 34 assists, five aces and 10 digs, Maddie Welsh had 10 kills and Dana Brindle had seven kills and 16 digs for Shorewood (1-1 league, 3-3 overall). Cristine Lotz had 10 kills, Soleil Boileau had 32 digs and Casey Hynes had 17 assists for the Hawks (0-2 league, 2-4 overall).
