BOTHELL — The cownappers must have tired of Rosie.

Rosie, 2, a fiberglass cow statue, was returned to her rightful owner, Susan Swanigan, just after noon Wednesday.

She was taken two weeks ago from outside Susan’s Sweets at the Country Village in Bothell.

The three teenage boys who brought her in said they found her in a trash bin. The boys split a $60 reward.

“I was just so excited that she returned that I didn’t ask any questions,” Swanigan said.

Rosie survived with her yellow cowbell necklace and scarf intact. She will, however, need a new coat of paint.

“She’s looking good,” Swanigan said.

Country Village is looking for ways to keep Rosie safe.

For now, she’ll spend her nights inside the shop to prevent another heifer heist.
