Visit two Seattle museums for free

The Target Corporation, known for its red bull’s-eye, bargain items and trendy decor, is also promoting its commitment to making the arts affordable.
To do that, Target is granting free access to cultural institutions for a weekend, giving families across the country the chance to experience art together while pondering masterpieces and getting crafty with hands-on activities, according to a Target press release.
Target is opening the doors to museums, galleries and other venues across the country for the weekend of July 16 to 18 with more than 80 institutions in 30 cities across the country participating in The Target Arts &Wonder Free Family Event, the release said.
Local Seattle museums participating are the Seattle Art Museum, 1300 First Ave., and the Wing Luke Museum in Seattle’s International District, 719 S King St. The free hours will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 17.
