GOLD BAR — Authorities are waiting on forensic results in the case of a woman’s skull found near Gold Bar in November.

It could be several more months before the laboratory work wraps up, said Shari Ireton, a spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.

The death of Sandy L. Rideout, of Whatcom County, remains under investigation. Rideout was last seen alive in 2006. She was 41 and spent time in Bellingham and Seattle. Her remains were discovered by a logger on private timber land in east Snohomish County.

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who has information about her disappearance and death. The sheriff’s office tip line is 425-388-3845. Callers can be anonymous.
