Tips add forward

Just received word that the Tips have found replacement for the departed Paul Van de Velde, calling up Scott MacDonald to provide forward depth.
MacDonald, an 18-year-old left wing from Surrey, B.C., played for Chilliwack last season, registering four goals, eight assists and 25 penalty minutes in 63 games. He wasn’t retained by the Bruins and has been plying his trade for the Westside Warriors of the BCHL, where in 15 games he had eight goals, 12 assists and two penalty minutes. On Westside’s roster he’s listed at 6-foot-1 and 196 pounds.
Doubt this is a difference-changing move for the Tips, given he was unable to crack Chilliwack’s roster this season. Nevertheless, he was off to a good start for Westside, ranking third in scoring on a team with a good record.
