Arlington: I-5 ramp closure set for tonight

The southbound I-5 offramp to 172nd Street NE is scheduled to be closed from 9 tonight to 5 a.m. Thursday.

Traffic will detoured to the next exit, 202, and be rerouted northbound on I-5 back to 172nd Street NE.

Camano Island: Festival, food and fun

The 12th annual St. Aidan’s Festival is set for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Food, fun for kids and entertainment are planned. A silent auction and a rummage sale help support local charities.

St. Aiden’s Episcopal Church is at 1318 E. Highway 532.

Darrington: Town set for bluegrass festival

The Bluegrass and Country Music Makers Association presents its 33rd annual Darrington Bluegrass Festival Friday through Sunday at the festival grounds just west of town on Highway 530.

Round-the-clock jam sessions are planned, along with performances by some of the country’s best bluegrass bands.

Marysville: Senior picnic coming up

The Ken Baxter Senior-Community Center is selling tickets for its annual Senior Picnic Barbecue next month.

The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Aug. 11 at Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave.

Tickets are $3 with donations of more accepted. No tickets will be sold the day of the event. Tickets will be on sale at the center, located in the park, until sold out or until Aug. 6. The event is for people 55 and older; all food is provided.

Stanwood: Sign up for Aug. 1 fair parade

It’s not too early to begin thinking about your entry in the Stanwood-Camano Community Fair Parade, set for Aug. 1 in downtown Stanwood.

The theme this year is community pride, and the grand marshals will be police and fire chiefs, in recognition of all the hard work crews provided during the snow storms and the flooding during the winter, organizers said.

Tulalip: Public meeting planned

The Tulalip Tribes Planning Commission plans to hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. today at the Quil Ceda Village Conference Center, 8825 34th Ave. NE, Tulalip, to discuss the Maplewood Planned Unit Development.

The project is part of the tribal government’s housing program. The meeting is open to the public.
