Air Force Airman Chris M. Cook graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Cook is the son of Sudine Bradley of Snohomish.

Navy Seaman Recruit Brandon T. Ness, son of Cathy Ness of Lynnwood, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Ness is a 2007 graduate of Aces High School of Everett.

Navy Seaman Ryan S. Coffman, son of Jessica Pittman of Everett and Marc Coffman of Oak Harbor, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Coffman is a 2008 graduate of Mariner High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Matthew A. Collins has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of G. Michael Collins of Snohomish and is a 2008 graduate of Monroe High School.

Army Reserve Pfc. Zachary R. Snyder has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Greg Schoening and Dana Snyder of Snohomish and is a 2008 graduate of Snohomish High School.
