The Marysville Strawberry Festival starts today and runs through June 21, bringing back a favorite feature, the Berry Run, for its opening weekend, with other popular activities set for later dates.

The 1-mile Berry Run starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, both at the Smokey Point Plant Farm, 15022 Twin Lakes Ave., Marysville.

The festival’s annual fashion show will take place from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Leifer Manor, 12511 State Ave. Tickets are $20, available by calling 425-923-4519 or visiting Details Home Decor, Attic Secrets Tea Room or Marysville Performing Arts Center, all in the downtown area.

Other events include the carnival Thursday through June 21, trike races on June 19, the Market in the Park from June 19 through 21, a car show on June 20, and the State Avenue parade starting at 6 p.m. June 20, with fireworks at 10 p.m., all at various locations including Marysville Middle School, Totem Middle School and Asbery Field.
