No gold for Froese

Everett’s Byron Froese and Canada will not be playing for the gold medal at the U-18 World Championships after being knocked off by the U.S. 2-1 tonight. Froese did not figure in the Canadian goal, so he did not add to his total of seven points in the tournament.

Froese and Canada will play a rematch against Sweden for the bronze medal on Sunday.
