EVERETT — The Snohomish County Deputy Sheriffs Association has endorsed County Councilman Dave Gossett for re-election this year.
Snohomish County Sheriff John Lovick and Prosecuting Attorney Janice Ellis also have endorsed Gossett. Gossett won his first four-year term in 2001 and was re-elected in 2005.
He has been chairman of the council’s law, justice and human services committee since 2006.
Gossett represents district No. 4, which includes Brier, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, part of Bothell and small parts of Everett.
Before being elected to the County Council, Gossett served 12 years on the Mountlake Terrace City Council, including a six-year term as mayor. He also worked for 11 years as a legislative analyst for the County Council.
