Marysville’s BookWORKS offers a Psychic Faire on Saturday.
It’s planned for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1510 Third St. Find tarot cards, palmistry and psychic readings.
25 years of caring: In 1984, churches joined together to help low-income families and the homeless.
Throughout 2009, the Interfaith Association of Northwest Washington will host events to celebrate the anniversary, including a dinner and auction at 5 p.m. Saturday at Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Church, 8109 224th St. SW in Edmonds.
Tickets may be purchased at www.interfaithwa.org or by calling 425-252-6672.
Nominate a good kid: Nominate a student in seventh through 12th grades for a Youth Challenge Award.
Find a nomination form at www.youthchallengeawards.com.
On May 7, the Rotary Club of Lynnwood will honor young people of Snohomish County. Those nominated are volunteers, leaders and exceptional youth. The entry deadline is March 31.
The awards ceremony will be at Edmonds Community College, Triton Union Building. Each nominee will receive a commemorative certificate. Winners receive $200.
More good kids: St. Mary Magdalen third-graders held a bake sale and used the money to make toothbrush kits for homeless people at the Everett Gospel Mission.
One of St. Mary Magdalen’s learning expectations is for each student to be an active citizen of the global community by responding compassionately to the needs of others.
Mission accomplished.
