Two injured in Marysville home invasion

MARYSVILLE — Two Marysville residents were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after they reported they were assaulted in their home.

About 6 a.m., a man and a woman called 911 to report that two men, one armed with a baseball bat, came into their home in the 8100 block of 19th Avenue NE, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

Deputies do not believe the apparent home-invasion was random, Hover said.

The man and woman were taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with head injuries.

Police do not know the motive for the break-in, or if the suspects and victims know each other. They are still investigating.
