… and not a pretty one for the Tips and their fans. Tomorrow is Everett’s first meeting of the season with Spokane, the team that convincingly swept the Tips out of the playoffs in the first round last March. Spokane continued all the way to the Memorial Cup championship, and the Chiefs return largely intact. Therefore, tonight’s game will be a serious challenge for the rebuilt Tips.

Here’s a couple quick notes from the Spokane side:

– The Chiefs got top offensive threat Drayson Bowman back from camp with the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes earlier this week. He had four points in his first two games back, so no hangover for him.

– Spokane is also expecting to get overage defenseman Trevor Glass back tonight. Glass had been at a tryout with the AHL’s Rockford IceHogs.

– One Chief, overage defenseman Justin Falk, remains at a pro camp and may not return. Despite his absence Spokane still has its three overage roster spots filled.

– Spokane is unlikely to have overage center Justin McCrae in the lineup tomorrow. McCrae suffered a knee injury of unknown severity and is listed as out indefinitely.
