No surprise what the big news is today. Kyle Beach was back in practice with the Tips for the first time since heading to training camp with the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks almost four weeks ago. Everett’s star winger be in the lineup tomorrow against Seattle, another team that’s had a good week when it comes to returns. The T-birds not only got captain Thomas Hickey back from the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, they also received a gift in the unexpected return of overage forward Greg Scott, who had signed a contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs and seemed set to play professionally this season. Those two make Seattle a far better team than the one Everett beat 7-3 two weeks ago.

As for Beach, it sounded like had a good experience with the Blackhawks. Not surprisingly, Beach spent a lot of time with Chicago’s young stars Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane. One thing Beach mentioned on more than one occasion was the concept of leadership. It looks as though Chicago wants Beach to develop those leadership skills this season.

Anyway, check out tomorrow morning’s story for a full wrap of Beach’s time in Chicago along with his impressions.

In other news, defenseman Graham Potuer is definitely out for this weekend because of his concussion. Left wing Tyler Parker is suspended for tomorrow’s game because of the kneeing major he took last Friday.
