Some updates on the injury front:
– Defenseman Mike Alexander appears set to return for Tuesday’s home game against Tri-City. Alexander sat out Saturday’s 5-2 loss at Seattle after taking a shot off the ankle during Friday’s 1-0 loss at Tri-City. Initial fears were that something may be broken, but it turned out to be just a bruise and he practiced today.
– Defenseman Shayne Brown will not play Tuesday. Brown remains sidelined with a hip flexor injury. He’s scheduled to see a specialist, though he’s still considered day-to-day.
Also, Everett goaltending coach Shane Clifford is in town this week to work with Shayne Barrie and Kent Simpson. Clifford, who’s based in Pittsburgh, makes a handful of trips to Everett each season.
