EVERETT – Police are investigating a shooting early Saturday that sent three people to a Seattle hospital. They suspect the incident may be related to gangs or drugs.

The gunfire erupted around 2 a.m. at the Hillcrest Estates apartments in the 10000 block of 130th Street SW, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.

Detectives believe someone fired through a sliding glass door into an apartment, she said. Two men were hit and a woman was hurt when shattered glass got into her eyes.

The three, 19 and 20, were taken to Harborview Medical Center with what deputies believe are non-life threatening injuries, Hover said.

Detectives are investigating possible gang connections to the shooting. They also believe drugs may have been involved.

No arrests have been made.
