Arlington: Library board talks future

The Arlington Library Board plans to discuss the future of the library at a meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the City Council Library, which is located just outside the Council Chambers at 110 E. Third St.

The board also is scheduled to consider different reading posters and to elect new officers at the meeting.

Camano Island: Street vacation eyed

A public hearing on whether Island County should vacate a portion of Shoreline Drive has been scheduled for February.

The hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Camano Center at 141 N. East Camano Drive.

The portion of road to be vacated is in the Tyee Beach plat.

Stanwood: Cheer at clinic and game

Children can participate in the halftime show of a Stanwood High School basketball game by signing up for a cheerleading clinic.

The SHS Lil Cheer Clinic is scheduled to start at 4:15 p.m. Jan. 25 in the gym at Stanwood High School’s Church Creek Campus.

The clinic is for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The cost is $30 per child, or $25 each if two or more children register from the same family.

Immediately after the clinic, participants are scheduled to perform in the halftime show of Stanwood’s game against Arlington High School.

Tulalip: Get a grip on stressors in life

Feeling stressed or overwhelmed by life’s challenges?

Tulalip tribal members who want to learn relaxation techniques, how to manage their obligations and set reasonable goals are welcome at Living Well, a six-week workshop to be held at the Tulalip Health Clinic at 7520 Totem Beach Road.

The first class is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday and will be held each Thursday for the following five weeks.
