Army Reserve Capt. Marcus C. Therrien has completed Army combat skills training at Fort McCoy, Sparta, Wis. He will be serving in Iraq. Therrien, a nurse, has served in the military for 23 years. He is the son of Joan Therrien of Marysville.
Navy Lt. Robert E. Danielson, son of Sandy and Mark Brown of Oak Harbor, recently received his master’s degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif. Danielson is a 1999 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. He joined the Navy in August 2002 following graduation in 2002 from the University of Washington, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree.
Darcy D. Copeland has graduated from the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps leader development and assessment course at Fort Lewis. The ROTC cadet has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army. She is the daughter of Dale Wills of Bellingham and Leslie Wills of Snohomish.
Air Force Airman Amanda L. Engholm has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Engholm is the daughter of Jerry and Karen Engholm of Granite Falls and a 2005 graduate of Granite Falls High School.
Air Force Airman Natalie B. Schoener has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Schoener earned distinction as an honor graduate. She is the daughter of Mark and Linda Schoener of Bothell.
Air Force Airman John P. Curtis has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Curtis earned distinction as an honor graduate. He is the son of Robert Curtis of Sand Point, Alaska, and grandson of Colonel Curtis of Bothell.
Josi L. Hall recently graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps leader development and assessment course at Fort Lewis. The cadet is a student at Eastern Washington University. She is the daughter of Allan and Penny Hall of Everett and a 2004 graduate of Mariner High School.
Navy Seaman Apprentice Garrin K. Horton, son of Angela and Mark Horton of Oak Harbor, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Horton is a 2001 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
