County plodding toward light rail

Regarding the Tuesday article, “Rail cars finished in Everett” by Lukas Velush.

From the article: ” … the county could get its own light rail route in 2027.”

That’s what, some 25 miles in 20 years?

By contrast, the first transcontinental railroad was built in less than six years – using 1860s technology. Yay for progress!
