Norman Totey, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Totey, was home on leave after completing Navy recruit training. He was a 1956 graduate of Everett High School.

In 1946, two Navy sailors started work at Weyerhaeuser’s Wood Products Division, and they were still going strong in 1981. Les Eubanks was lead set-up man at the planer mill and Bob McKnight was chipper operator at Mill F sawmill.
Brad Cross and Thomas Moran of Everett High School were named semi-finalists in the national Merit Scholarship competition.
