SEATTLE — Thousands of people crowded around a fast-food restaurant in Seattle Wednesday night to see and even take part in a rap music video shoot for hip-hop stars Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

The crowd went wild as Macklemore arrived, hanging out the window of a Cadillac, and performed on the roof of Dick’s Drive-in.

News of the event spread through social media and police had to hold back the crowd with barricades.

KOMO reports the music video is for the duo’s “White Walls” song, a reference to Macklemore’s Cadillac and its tires.

Macklemore grew up on Capitol Hill, where the burger joint is located. The owners of the drive-in welcomed the publicity.

The production lasted until 1 a.m. Thursday.
