LAKE STEVENS — The Snohomish County sheriff’s office says a young woman found dead in a marsh near Lake Stevens, Washington, has been identified.

KOMO-TV reports that spokeswoman Shari Ireton says the body recovered June 23 from Ebey Slough is that of 22-year-old Stephanie Kensinger.

Ireton says the county medical examiner’s office has not determined the cause and manner of death but deputies are calling it suspicious.

KOMO reports Kensinger, of Everson, northeast of Bellingham, had studied at a beauty school in Bellingham.
