Explore: Guides tour trails, beaches
There are a couple of free guided walks coming up in the area.
Friends of Camano Island Parks volunteers lead a guided walk Saturday through Cama Beach Park.
Hikers should meet at 9:50 a.m. at the junction of Ivy Road and Dry Lake Road. The 2.7-mile walk follows a series of trails. A shuttle returns hikers to their cars at the end, or the more intrepid can walk on and make it a 3.9-mile hike. The walk should be completed by noon.
No state park pass is required. This is a rain-or-shine walk. No dogs are allowed. You can pick up a trail booklet and maps for a suggested $1 donation.
