Seahawks notes: Wright, Graham to Pro Bowl; Cable staying

OK, here’s a quick round-up of some Seattle Seahawks notes from Tuesday.

First, a pair of Seahawks were added to the Pro Bowl roster as injury replacements:

This is great recognition for Wright, as the linebacker in his sixth season received his first Pro Bowl nod. Wright finished the season with 124 tackles and a career-high 4.0 sacks. Wright has been playing at a high level for a long time, but has a hard time breaking through in Pro Bowl voting as an outside linebacker because he’s not used as a pass rusher, so his sack numbers are always smaller than the players he’s competing against.

For Graham it will be his fourth Pro Bowl and first with the Seahawks — his first three came with the New Orleans Saints. Graham, coming back from a serious knee injury that ended his 2015, finished 65 catches for 923 yards and six touchdowns, and he received positive reports for his improved blocking.

Wright replaces Washington linebacker Ryan Kerrigan while Graham replaces Washington tight end Jordan Reed.

Wright and Graham join Seattle’s four players who were initially named to the Pro Bowl, those being defensive ends Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril, linebacker Bobby Wagner and cornerback Richard Sherman. It is the sixth straight season in which the Seahawks had five or more Pro Bowlers.

Second, Seattle assistant head coach/offensive line coach Tom Cable interviewed for the San Francisco 49ers’ vacant head coaching job Sunday, but it looks like Cable came in second:

And confirmation from his agent that Cable isn’t leaving the Seahawks:
