Briefs: Leadership Snohomish County names new board members

Leadership Snohomish County has added eight new members to its Board of Directors. They are Ryan Crowther, Rachel Wilkinson Downes, Jennifer Graves, Kurt Hintze, Seema Sharma, Roslyn Sterling, Barbara Tolbert, and Kendra Trachta. The organization believes these new board members will bring their diverse perspectives to its mission of cultivating sustainable, local community leadership.
State Nurses Association appoints executive director
The Washington State Nurses Association Board of Directors have selected Sally Watkins, Ph.D., MS, RN, to be the new WSNA executive director, replacing Judy Huntington, MN, RN, who is retiring in June after 18 years in the position. Watkins will join WSNA April 3. She is currently the administrative director, Clinical Resource Management for CHI-Franciscan Health System in Tacoma.
Register for Economic Alliance’s annual forecast
Registration is now open for Economic Alliance Snohomish County’s Annual Economic Forecast. The event, presented by Banner Bank, is from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. on Feb. 23 at Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle – North/Lynnwood located at 20610 44th Ave. West, Lynnwood. Hart Hodges from Western Washington University will offer the keynote presentation. Register at this website.
Providence General Children’s Association gives $5,000 to Kids’ Kloset
Providence General Children’s Association has awarded $5,000 to Arlington Kids’ Kloset to help fund their efforts to provide hygiene and health-related essentials to low-income students in the Arlington, Lakewood and Darrington School Districts as well as homeless youth and children in north Snohomish County families who find themselves in emergency situations due to fire, natural disaster or sudden relocation.
