MARYSVILLE — Units from several fire departments responded to a one-acre brush fire Sunday afternoon in the Getchell area.

The fire broke out around 2:30 p.m. after a backyard burn in the 12600 block of 108th Avenue NE got out of control, said Travis Hots, chief of the Getchell and Arlington Rural fire departments.

It took about two hours to contain the fire, Hots said.

Units from Arlington, Getchell and Marysville responded to the call, and there were no injuries or structure damage, Hots said.
