EVERETT — A 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after her car reportedly struck a motorcyclist in Everett.

The Gig Harbor woman was driving on Highway 526 and took the exit for Evergreen Way around 6:30 p.m. Everett police officer Aaron Snell said she failed to yield to traffic when changing lanes.

Her car hit a 20-year-old motorcyclist, knocking him off his bike, Snell said.

The man was taken to the hospital, but his injuries didn’t appear to be life threatening, Snell said.

The woman was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
