That 10-mile I-5 traffic jam was due to crash in Marysville

MARYSVILLE — A driver was seriously injured after a passenger car and two semi-trucks collided on I-5 in Marysville on Wednesday.
The collision happened just north of 136th Street NE. One of the trucks jack-knifed about 2:20 p.m., blocking all northbound lanes, said trooper Heather Axtman with the Washington State Patrol.
The lanes re-opened, but traffic was backed up for about 10 miles as of 5 p.m.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash.
The injured driver’s age and gender were not released.
