Loyal fans of the Purple Cow blackberry float booth at the Evergreen State Fair, don’t worry.
The booth is still at the fair, which opens today, but has moved to building 613 across from the Livestock Pavilion.
The old booth was removed to make way for the construction of a multi-purpose center.
The Purple Cow booth has been a fixture at the Evergreen State Fair since 1960 when it was started by the Snohomish County Dairy Women.
Free movie: A free showing of the movie “Babe” will be take place at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Swedish/Edmonds hospital, 21601 76th Ave. W.
The outdoor seating will be outside the cafe on the patio.
The 91-minute family movie is the story of a little pig who manages to avoid being Christmas dinner by learning how to herd sheep and win a sheep dog contest.
The movie is part of a free summer movie series sponsored by the hospital.
Trail closed: The Lowell Riverfront Trail will be closed along its entire length for maintenance and resurfacing until Saturday morning.
Walkers can instead head to encouraged to the Interurban Trail, the Langus Riverfront Park and Trail, or West Marine View Drive during this temporary maintenance closure.
