As aviation fans anxiously await the Boeing Co.’s new 787 delivery schedule, some airlines are talking about the stress of Dreamliner delays.

The chairman of Hainan Airlines Group says he expects delivery of the carrier’s first 787 later this year. Delays have affected the airline’s development, he said. The airline will seek compensation over any further delays.

Air India’s chief operating officer said the carrier is still in talks with Boeing over compensation. The carrier has 27 Dreamliners on order.

A source told the Wall Street Journal that Air India should have received 20 787s by now. The carrier estimates it already has lost 60 billion rupees, roughly $1.3 billion, in revenue due to the 787 delays.
