Walk before Hawks
If you keep a good pace, you can be home before the Seattle Seahawks game at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Friends of Camano Island Parks offer a community walk on the Cama Beach trails Saturday morning.
Meet at 9:50 a.m. at Ivy Road and Dry Lake Road junction. Parking is on the Ivy Road cul-de-sac. The 3.5-mile walk is to the Cranberry Lake trail, then to the beach area.
Organizers ask that dogs be kept at home, but do bring rain hats, waterproof gloves and flasks of cocoa.
Order plants: Snohomish Conservation District offers its annual conservation plant sale March 4 and 5 at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe.
Purchase plants for wildlife habitat, reforestation, native plant gardens, wind and sight screens, and erosion control. Save money by planting your own Christmas trees; select from Noble, Douglas and Grand firs.
The district will take preorders through Feb. 3.

Everett High School stages musical: The Everett High School Drama Club plans to present “Frankenstein: A New Musical” with music by Mark Baron, lyrics by Jeffrey Jackson and story adaptation by Gary B. Cohen.
Performances are set for 7 p.m., Thursday and Jan. 14 and 15 and 2 p.m., Jan. 16 at Everett Civic Auditorium, 2105 Colby Ave. in Everett.
Tickets are $15 each or $10 for senior citizens and students with student body cards.
