Lake Goodwin drowning victim is identified

STANWOOD — The man who drowned in Lake Goodwin has been identified as William D. Jensen.

Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies reported that Jensen was ejected from a boat Friday. Divers recovered his body the next day.

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office concluded that the Arlington man, 52, drowned. His death was ruled an accident.

The case remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office. A spokeswoman reported that the boat’s operator, a 56-year-old Stanwood man, was believed to be intoxicated at the time of the incident.
