Lake Stevens holds first Winterfest
Lake Stevens kicks off the holiday season with its first community Winterfest celebration, 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the community center and the plaza outside City Hall in the 1800 block of Main Street. Enjoy caroling, treats, a visit with Santa and a holiday tree lighting. All events are free. Photos with Santa start at 8 p.m.

Mill Creek holiday parade
Mill Creek holds its annual Santa Parade and Tree Lighting on Saturday. The parade starts at 3:30 p.m. and winds south down Main Street through Mill Creek Town Center. The tree lighting immediately follows at 4 at City Hall South (15728 Main St.).
The event includes performances by the Henry M. Jackson High School drum line and Voices Northwest Chorus. There also will be cookie decorating, carriage and wagon rides, photos with Santa and more.

Holiday celebrations in Arlington
Arlington celebrates A Very Merry Hometown Holiday starting Friday and continuing the next three Saturdays. A sample of events:
– Free photos with Santa, Moana and Olaf, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at Presidents Elementary School, 505 E Third St.
– Santa Breakfast fundraiser for the Arlington Education Foundation ($15), 8:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at Presidents Elementary School
– S’mores and crafts, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday with Lifeway Church at Legion Memorial Park, 114 N Olympic Ave.
– Santa Parade, noon Saturday down Olympic Avenue, followed by the tree lighting at Legion Park
Vendor fairs, wagon rides, movies, concerts and more are also on the schedule.

Winterfest fills Sultan High
The Sky Valley Winterfest is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Sultan High School, 13715 310th Ave. SE. Enjoy a holiday market with several donation opportunities, as well as live music from kindergartners to community brass bands. Lunch will be available. Giving Tree tags also will be available to help a child with Christmas gifts.

Old-fashioned Christmas in Stanwood
The Stanwood Area Historical Society, Josephine Caring Community and the Stanwood Chamber of Commerce hold the annual Old Fashioned Christmas, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27130 102nd Ave. NW. Enjoy free photos with Santa, treats and cocoa, gift bags for kids, and holiday crafts and tours.

Enjoy “Merrysville” for holidays
Marysville celebrates its annual Merrysville for the Holidays on Saturday. Enjoy family activities from 5 to 8 p.m. at Comeford Park, at Fifth Street and State Avenue downtown, along with live music, an electric lights parade and the annual water tower lighting. The parade starts at 6:30. The tower lighting is scheduled for 7.
