Granite Falls teams back from Ecomarathon

Two teams from Granite Falls High School competed at the Shell Eco-marathon Americas 2018, held April 19-22 at the Sonoma Raceway in California.
The UrbanAutos teamfinished in fourth place among UrbanConcept cars with internal combustion engines. Its diesel-fuel entry, called GOALS, made four attempts, topping out at 408.8 mpg.
The ShopGirls finished in 11th place in a category for prototype vehicles with an internal combustion engine. With only one attempt, their diesel-fuel entry, dubbed Carbon Lady, logged 633.9 mpg.
