Pancake breakfast: A Norwegian pancake breakfast is set for 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 19 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, 2111 117th Ave. NE, Lake Stevens. The breakfast includes all-you-can-eat Norwegian pancakes with strawberries, syrup and sliced ham. Coffee, tea, orange juice and hot chocolate will also be served. Cost is $6 per person. Free for children younger than 5. The pancake breakfast is held the third Saturday of each month September through May. Call 425-334-0421.

Chicken dinner: Stillaguamish Senior Center’s Family Chicken Dinner is from noon to 2 p.m. Jan. 20 at the center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington. There will be roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread rolls, pudding, vegetables and coleslaw. Cost is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for children. Proceeds benefit the senior center. Dinners are served by seniors at the center every month; upcoming dinners are set for Feb. 17 and March 17. Bring canned goods for the food bank. Chocolate Lovers Gala: Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County hosts its 27th annual gala 5 to 9 p.m. March 29 at the Tulalip Resort Casino, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd., Tulalip. Features handmade chocolates, sparkling wine, live and silent auctions and — new this year — a catered dinner. Tickets are $100 per person or $900 for a table of 10. Registration closes Feb. 25.
