Edmonds Center for the Arts Film Cabaret: “Crazy Heart,” a 2009 movie with Jeff Bridges as a down-and-out songwriter who tries to turn his life around after beginning a relationship with a young journalist, played by Maggie Gyllenhaal. Edmonds Diversity Film Series: Six free screenings of topical films on themes related to diversity, inclusion and equity on third Saturdays at noon at the Edmonds Theater, 415 Main St., Edmonds. Silent Movie and Pipe Organ Night: “Speedy,” starring Harold Lloyd, is showing 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1 at the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. In this 1928 film, a chronically unemployed Yankees fan dates the granddaughter of a man who runs a failing horse-drawn trolley business, in a rapidly changing city where the railway is becoming king.
