Tidy up your act
The Netflix series “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo” and books by the Japanese organizing consultant are encouraging people to declutter their homes.
Are items that don’t “spark joy” getting the boot at your house? Is your housemate making you get rid of your precious books (yet buying Kondo’s books)? Are you folding your clothes Kondo-style?
Email abrown@heraldnet.com for an upcoming Herald story or call 425-339-3443 to tell us how Kondo is changing your closet, garage and marriage.

HEADS UP
Naval base drills
Naval Station Everett’s entrances might be closed intermittently because of security training, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Jan. 30, Feb. 6, and Feb. 8.
Those who are nearby during those times might hear blank gunshots, sirens and loudspeaker announcements. The exercise helps naval station security and other first responders stay coordinated.
