EVERETT — Two people were shot Wednesday afternoon near a south Everett apartment building, police said.

Just before 2:30 p.m., the two males of unknown ages were shot at Family Tree Apartments at 10110 19th Ave SE, according to Everett police. One was taken to the hospital. His condition was unclear. The other was only grazed, so medics treated him at the scene.

The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting, police said.

The relationship between the shooter and the wounded people was under investigation Wednesday.

This was the second shooting reported in South Everett on Wednesday. A man was killed overnight in a shooting at a Casino Road apartment building, about 2½ miles away.
