Celtic Weekend is June 25-26 at Emerald Downs, 2300 Emerald Downs Drive, Auburn.

There’s also a scotch tasting and family fun activities in the park. Ride a pony and pet an Irish wolf hound.

Music outdoors: Tuning up at Marymoor Park

Nothing could be finer than the Seattle Symphony performing Gershwin on Sunday afternoon in the park.

No composer has ever understood the swing of city life like George Gershwin. Let his musical dispatches from New York, Havana and Paris transport you away.

Bring a picnic. Gates open at 2:30 p.m.

Concert begins at 4 p.m. June 25 at Marymoor, 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Pkwy, Redmond.

Slug fest: Celebrate the bizarre and beloved banana slug at Northwest Trek Wildlife Park on Saturday and Sunday.

Play slug games. Take slug selfies. Join in a slug race or make slug crafts. Events are planned throughout the day.

The park includes 435 acres of free-roaming area for animals, including a new moose calf.

The park is at 11610 Trek Drive East, Eatonville. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
