1 dead in ATV crash near Arlington

ARLINGTON — One person died in an ATV crash north of Arlington early Friday morning, authorities said.

At about 12:40 a.m., two people were riding in an ATV on private property near Grandview Road, said Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Renee Cooper. The vehicle rolled over and ejected one of them. The person died at the scene.

Investigators believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, Cooper said. Officials didn’t provide any identifying information for the deceased. The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the person.

Detectives continued investigating Saturday.
