Mountlake Terrace 7, Shorecrest 0

SHORELINE — Jack Gripentrog came one second-inning hit away from a perfect complete game, striking out nine of the 22 hitters he saw in a shutout Hawks (8-9 overall, 4-5 league) win. Owen Boswell (2-for-3, 2 runs) tripled to bring in two runs while Xander Spence (2-for-4, run) doubled for two RBI for Mountlake Terrace. David Telling had the lone hit for Shorecrest (7-10, 3-6).

Edmonds-Woodway 4, Lynnwood 0

EDMONDS — Declan Crawford pitched a complete-game gem to earn a second straight shutout win for the league-leading Warriors (13-4, 9-0). Crawford faced just 25 hitters, striking out 15 while giving up just one hit and three walks. Andreas Simonsen (2-for-3, run) brought two scores in for run support while Ryder Bowman had the lone hit for Lynnwood (2-15, 0-11).

Snohomish 20, Marysville Pilchuck 0 (5)

SNOHOMISH — The Panthers (14-4, 6-2) earned their largest win of the season in a second straight shutout of the Tomahawks. Rider Walsh was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two doubles on a three-run four-RBI day. He also allowed one hit and picked up five Ks in two innings pitched while Luke Davis (3-for-3, 3 runs, 5 RBI, 2 RBI) and Chase Clark (3-for-4, run, 4 RBI) combined to bring in nine runs. Peyton DeRouen (1-for-2) had Marysville Pilchuck’s (0-15, 0-8) only hit.

Arlington 11, Cascade 1 (5)

ARLINGTON — The Eagles (6-10, 2-5) poured on five fifth-inning runs to invoke the run rule against the Bruins (3-13, 0-7). Reid Gudgeon (3-for-4, 2 runs) and Camden Knudson (2-for-3) each batted in two runs for Arlington. Brayden Jewett (1-for-1) leveraged three stolen bases to score a game-high three runs. Michael Caldwell (1-for-1) scored Cascade’s lone run.

Non-league

Shorewood 7, Garfield 0

SEATTLE — Pitchers Aaron James and Cohen Srour combined to help Shorewood (13-3) shut out Garfield on the road. James pitched five frames, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out four hitters. Srour closed the final two innings, allowing no hits and two walks. Kanata Barber starred for Shorewood’s offense, going 3-for-3 with two runs, an RBI and three stolen bases.

Stanwood 7, Wenatchee 2

WENATCHEE — The Spartans (14-3) scored three runs in the final two frames to pull away from the Panthers on the road. Steven Doersam earned the win on the mound with four hits allowed in five innings, while Ryan Hansen closed the final two with no hits and one walk allowed to pair with five strikeouts. Jaxson Beard (2 runs), Tanner Requa (run, RBI) and Cole Hendrickson (1-for-2, run, RBI) all doubled for Stanwood.

Lake Stevens 11, Monroe 1 (5)

LAKE STEVENS — The Vikings (10-4) won their fifth straight, claiming an abbreviated bout with the Bearcats (10-6). Cayden DeElena (3-for-3) scored three times with two stolen bases, while Ayden Hale (3-for-3) and Kellen Gadin both scored twice. Chad Greaby earned the win on the mound with one hit allowed in four innings for Lake Stevens. AJ Welch went 2-for-3 for Monroe.

Sultan 10, Friday Harbor 0 (6)

FRIDAY HARBOR — The Turks (7-6) run-ruled the Wolverines as Tyler McConnell (6.0 IP, 3 H, 3 BB) struck out nine hitters in a shutout. Braydon Davis (2-for-4, RBI) and Aidan French (4 SB) each scored two runs for Sultan.

King’s 2, Overlake 0

SHORELINE — Sam Ruhlman pitched six shutout innings to give up just two hits and three walks in a key league win for the first-place Knights (11-4, 6-2). Nate Echelbarger doubled to bring in one of two King’s runs on a quiet offensive day.

Granite Falls 12, Cedar Park Christian (Bothell) 6

GRANITE FALLS — 10 first-inning runs propelled the Tigers (6-7, 1-7) to their first league win of the season, downing the second-place Eagles. Lyal Viers (2-for-3, 3 runs) doubled and tripled to bring in two runs while Lincoln Myers (run) also had two RBI for Granite Falls.
