The Tulalip Tribes have given Western Washington University a three-year, $30,000 grant to support the Ralph Munro Seminar for Teachers. The grant will pay for five Native American teachers to attend the annual seminar at WWU each year, and also will pay for a half-day program for teachers on the Tulalip Reservation.

Employees of Vought Aircraft Industries in Everett raised about $3,000 in the recent March of Dimes WalkAmerica campaign. Vought is the parent company of the former Contour Aerospace.
