Enjoy beer, brats and art at Camano Island event

Building on the success of the annual Chili-Chowder Cook Off, the Camano Island Chamber of Commerce this year is introducing the “Art of Beer, Brats, Biz and MORE.”

The inaugural event kicks off from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the “Commons” at Terry’s Corner, behind 848 N. Sunrise Blvd., or where Highway 532 meets E. North Camano Drive.

People can expect entertainment and fun for all ages.

The event is free, with musical entertainment by the South End String Band. Camano Canine Resort will have dogs showing off through an agility court.

Food and beverages, including Elger Bay Grocery’s brats, Diamond Knot Brewery beer and Dusty Cellars Winery wine, will be available for purchase.

More than 50 businesses will participate.

People who attend also can pick up a “Passport” to Camano Island. Get a minimum of 15 stamps from all the participating businesses for an opportunity to win one of local artist Mark Ellinger’s glass floats.

For more information, contact Karen Daum at 360-629-7136 or at chamber@camanoisland.org.
