Flight of the Conchords, the HBO comedy duo, released their sophomore album, “I Told You I Was Freaky,” through Seattle’s Sub Pop Records on Tuesday.
TRIVIA: The group’s first album was an unlikely hit, debuting at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and earning a Grammy nomination.
STANDOUTS: The reggae-tinged “You Don’t Have to be a Prostitute” gets a grin, but the pair are at their deadpan best on their ode to overly sensitive rappers, “Hurt Feelings.”
FANS DIG: New Zealand
ANDY SAYS: Flight of the Conchords’ second album again collects the best tracks from the group’s TV series, and again, the soundtrack will be among the best comedy albums of the year. Supposedly, the guys are hemming and hawing over whether they’ll return for a third season. Let’s keep those fingers crossed.
